Introduction

The Great Wall, the Forbidden City, terra-cotta warriors; bicycles and rickshaws; dim sum, mah jongg, and silk; Feng Shui and acupuncture. Now is the time to visit China! Witness how this magnificent country is evolving through the cycle of yin and yang, the first principle of Feng Shui. Understand how our Eastern counterparts, traditionally yin-oriented, have favored philosophy and religion over science; intuitive wisdom over rational knowledge; traditions over progress; and family over the individual.

The Feng Shui Masters Tour will meet in Los Angeles and begin our journey to China. Feng Shui Masters invites you to come into the heart of China and discover first-hand the birthplace of Feng Shui.  This mystical odyssey will fill up your senses and open your heart.

Johnathan Ng, Executive Director of Feng Shui Masters, Inc. and an experienced bilingual tour administrator, will escort the group.  This tour is based on the refinement of previous tours.  Many previous members came back with excellent scenic pictures and videos of memorable sites and joyous group activities.

In terms of weather, October is one of the best times of the year to travel to Asia. Temperatures are moderate and there is very little rain. Whether you are a Feng Shui practitioner or a novice enthusiast, this journey will deepen your understanding of how Feng Shui was born out of China’s reverence for balance and harmony. Meet and mix with the people who are dedicated to the development and expansion of the growing Feng Shui network worldwide.

We know you will enjoy this inspiring journey through China's Feng Shui heritage!  We look forward to meeting you and sharing our knowledge about Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese art and science of achieving better prosperity, good health, and beneficial relationships.

DAY 1: Los Angeles/Beijing

Fly transpacific via China Easterns wide cabin boeing 747 to Beijing, capital of the People’s Republic of China.

DAY 2: Arrive in Beijing

Upon arriving in Beijing, we will transfer to the five-sStar Shangri-La Hotel (or equivalent). After enjoying a delicious dinner at a local restaurant, the evening is yours to relax, rejuvenate, and restore your energy for a week-long adventure to China’s major highlights.

DAY 3: Beijing

A full day of sightseeing begins with a breakfast orientation. We’ll learn from a local scholar about the significance of Feng Shui and the formidable Forbidden City. Aboard our luxury motor coach, the first stop is the magnificent Summer Palace, the emperor’s leisure compound. Here, we’ll walk along the Long Corridor with its exquisite paintings depicting traditional Chinese stories, and then visit the Temple of Heaven. In the afternoon, we’ll experience Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest gathering place. At the far end of the square, see Chairman Mao’s portrait looming over the impressive Gate of the Heavenly Peace. The Forbidden City is next. This is an enormous complex of palaces, pavilions, courtyards, and gardens where for centuries Chinese emperors ruled their world. Lunch at Xihua Restaurant This evening enjoy an acrobatic show with Palace style dinner.

DAY 4: Beijing

A full-day excursion will take us north of Beijing to the Great Wall, an extraordinary 4,000-mile long barrier built to thwart the Mongol invasions. Lunch at Siwei Restaurant. In the afternoon, we’ll proceed to the spectacular

Sacred Avenue
lined with great stone animal figures guarding the valley to the Ming Tombs. This area is a perfect example of Feng Shui. Thirteen emperors were buried here with three sides of their yin-site supported by mountains, the one exposed side open to the south. This evening enjoy an authentic Beijing duck dinner.

DAY 5:  Beijing / Xian

The morning is free to stroll around the nearby park where people practice tai chi. After lunch, we’ll fly to Xian, the ancient capital of China, home to eleven great dynasties and the starting point of the Silk Road. Check in at the deluxe Sheraton Hotel (or equivalent).

DAY 6: Xian

A full day excursion takes us to one of the world’s most incredible sights, the partially excavated mausoleum of Qin dynasty’s (255-206 BC) first emperor Shihuangdi’s life size terra-cotta warriors. Discovered in 1974 by a farmer digging a well, this archaeological site has uncovered an army of intricately robed soldiers and their horses, chariots, and weapons standing in formation ready for battle. Also, we’ll visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which houses Buddhist transcripts dating to the Tang dynasty. Next we’ll visit Bei Lin, displaying stone tablets inscribed with writings from the Yijing (Book of Changes), the text that provides the foundation and philosophical basis of Feng Shui. In the evening, enjoy the Tang Dynasty Show featuring Chinese dance and acrobatics.

DAY 7: Xian / Shanghai / Suzhou

From Xian, we have an Air China morning flight to Shanghai. Via our luxury motor coach we’ll transfer to Suzhou, one of the oldest towns in the Yangzi Basin. Called “the Garden City, Venice of the East,” Suzhou dates back some 2,500 years and is famous for its silk production, charming gardens, and canals. We’ll enjoy one of Suzhou’s largest gardens called the Garden for Lingering In, a fusion of nature, architecture, and poetry (the walkways are inlaid with calligraphy from celebrated artists). The day would not be complete without a boat tour of its canals and a view of Tiger Hill, the burial site of Suzhou’s founding father said to have been buried with 3,000 swords and a white tiger, which guards his resting place. We’ll stay overnight at the Five Star New City Garden Hotel (or equivalent).

DAY 8: Suzhou / Hangzhou / Watertown (Tongli)

A famous proverb says, “In heaven there is paradise, on earth we have Suzhou and Hangzhou.” In the morning, our motor coach will take us to Hangzhou, one of China’s most famous tourist attractions known for its exquisite natural beauty. After checking in at the Five Star Continental Hotel (or equivalent), we’ll cruise on the magnificent West Lake. Surrounded on three sides by hills, this large fresh water lake features banks and islands comprised of gardens and temples. Also, Hangzhou is famous for its Longjing green tea, silk, fans, and scissors. Afterwards we will stop by the unique Watertown (Tongli), rarely visited by foreigners. In the evening, enjoy a sumptuous lakeside dinner.

DAY 9:  Hangzhou / Shanghai

After breakfast, it’s off to Shanghai which means “by the sea.” Shanghai is China’s largest city (14.2 million), commercial center, and along with Beijing, a great cultural center. We’ll check in at the JJ Oriental Tower Hotel (or equivalent). The afternoon sightseeing includes the Bund -- the famous waterfront promenade along the Huangpu River, and Old Town, which offers narrow, winding alleys, lined with shops, teahouses, and restaurants. A surprise is in store for the evening—A visit to a mah jongg parlor, fortune teller, an excursion to the Chinese opera, pearl or silk factory. Who knows? Wait and see!

DAY 10: Shanghai —5-Star Hotel (surprise itinerary)

Upon popular request, this extra fun day is added on to allow our tour members to fully explore and enjoy this beautiful (Paris) city of the East. Our tourmasters is planning a fantastic sightseeing and surprise study package for this valuable day that none of the othe tour groups carry.

DAY 10: Shanghai / Los Angeles
